Proteins are expressed on either the cell surface, intracellularly, or both. Flow cytometry detection methods are typically carried out based on where the protein is thought to be localized.

using IC Flow and CS Flow Kits

TLR9 staining with IC Flow Kit Flow cytometric analysis of intracellular TLR9 (IMG-305A) in Ramos cells using the IC Flow Kit to fix and permeabilize cells.
